ELECTIVE SUBJECTS
Year 10 students select five elective subjects in order of preference (1-5). Full year elective subjects must be selected as two consecutive preferences.
Students planning to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme from 2024 should note that the IBDP requires students to study an additional language as a requirement of the course, so choosing to continue studies in either Japanese or Spanish is essential. Prospective IBDP students are also recommended to choose the Year 10 elective subjects Extension Science, Extension Mathematics and Extension English. Prospective IBDP students who choose the recommended electives, but who also wish to continue their study of Music will be catered for through an offline program which is individually negotiated at the start of Year 10. For further information about the IBDP, please go to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme page of this handbook.
